"The Da Vinci Code"
This seems to be the latest buzz around our culture. I think there has been more hype about all of this than it really deserves. I mean, the book itself is a work of FICTION. The movie is just what it is, a MOVIE. But perhaps it is stirring conversations about the roots of what we believe in and that can be good. I am curious as to how many of you have read the book or have already gone and seen the movie. What are your thoughts about it? Has it made you change your thinking about Jesus or the Bible? Do you think that this deserves all the attention it is getting? What about churches asking people to boycott the movie?
"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets,
some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to
prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ
may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the
knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the
whole measer of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be
infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and
there by the cunning and craftiness of men in their scheming.
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into
him who is the Head, that is, Christ." Ephesians 4:11-15 NIV
